Visit the My Qamis boutique. You'll learn all about Arab-Muslim dress culture. If someone asks you what theizar is, do you know the answer? On this page, we've chosen to present this article in detail.
Everything you need to know about the male izar
The izar was originally worn by Arab Bedouin tribes. But because of its many advantages, many peoples and civilizations have adopted it. Today, this long loincloth is a truly fashionable garment that can be worn in all circumstances, even for the most special occasions.
It has many different names. Wizaar, sarong, fouta, ma'awi- so many names for the same product: izar.
If we had to describe it in a few words, we could say that it's a rather long piece of fabric with a rectangular shape. It measures around one meter in width. People use this garment to cover the lower part of the body, more precisely the area between the hips and the ankles. You could also fall for one of our many models of men's sarouels.
Generally speaking, people wear a simple white izar. However, there are many other variations in which colors and decorative patterns vary.
How is the izar worn?
Wearing an izar can be difficult at first. But once you've acquired a good technique and some experience, putting it on becomes child's play. To prevent your loincloth from falling off, and to avoid discomfort when you're out and about, we suggest the following method.
First, take your izar by the ends. Then open it and place it over your bottom. Then close it, bringing the different sides of the fabric towards your kidneys. Join the left end to the opposite side. Finally, if your model has strings, all that's left is to tie it in the back. Otherwise, you'll have to wedge it around your loins.
For even greater comfort, there are izars with an integrated belt or elastic band. This one is for those who want to make things easy for themselves. Don't wait any longer to order this wonderful loincloth from My Qamis.
As usual, your Muslim boutique offers a wide choice of sizes, colors and styles. What's more, we have a wide range of items to suit every budget. Modesty is one of the moral qualities that should eventually be made accessible to all.
The need to cover your 'awra
Every Muslim is obliged to cover his or her 'awra. What does this mean? Nudity, which must be concealed by legal clothing. So, when we promote the qamis, the izar, etc., we are first and foremost promoting products that conform to our religious convictions.
No believer can evade this religious obligation. Men and women of the Muslim community must opt for mastur clothing on a daily basis.
