The story of Prophet Youssouf holds a wealth of lessons. Whether it's about hardship, behavior or heart disease, you'll learn a lot from this story. For you will discover that behind every difficulty lies a great blessing. Reading the life of this messenger of God will help you understand the meaning of Tawakkoul. And, more generally, the fact that worshipping your Lord in all circumstances is essential.
Prophet Yusuf: a man of absolute trust in Allah
From an early age, he had to overcome great trials. Yet his behavior as a believer was always exemplary. Indeed, he was envied by his brothers, who went so far as to foment his disappearance so that he would not cast a shadow over them.
And they made their father Yacoub believe that their brother had been eaten by a wolf. For his part, Youssouf, who had been thrown into a large well, is taken in by travelers and sold.
What's important to note in this story is the absolute trust he had in Allah. So, at every stage of his life, what mattered to him was pleasing his Lord. And so he grew up in this well-to-do family. But when he grew up, the wife of the man who had bought him made advances towards him. But he didn 't succumb to her charm, which earned him the ordeal of prison.
Prophet Youssouf: beloved of Allah
His first fear was to displease his lord. So when this woman made advances towards him, he rejected her out of fear of his Creator. And, when she tricked him with others until he was imprisoned, he patiently complied with the decree of the Most High.
For him, prison was better than succumbing to temptation. Here again, his unshakeable faith is an example to all mankind. So, instead of resigning himself or being sad, he will call his fellow prisoners to the exclusive worship of Allah.
And when he is cleared of false accusations and released, he will remain just as upright in his behavior. Thus, as minister to the King of Egypt, he will remain humble and just when facing his brothers. And, through this behavior, they will question themselves and repent.
Prophet Yusuf: an interpreter of dreams
He had the gift of understanding the meaning of dreams. And he was the cause that saved Egypt from a resounding famine. Indeed, thanks to Allah, he was able to interpret the king's dream that foretold the years of famine. And so, solutions were found to avert this humanitarian crisis.
Repentance, the framework of this magnificent story
The most beautiful lesson of this story is that everyone can change. The men who wanted to get rid of their brother out of jealousy will sincerely regret their act. But so will the seductive woman who later became Youssouf's wife.
Indeed, man is weak when it comes to the temptations of this life. But Allah's mercy is infinite. So everyone has the opportunity to become better at meeting Him with a sincere heart.
